$85,000-$110,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefitsExperience:
At least 3 years of public accounting experience focused in tax compliance, tax advisory, and client management. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an emphasis in taxation to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA who enjoys working directly with clients, preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing practical tax guidance, and developing long-term client relationships. The successful candidate will work closely with our existing CPA and professional staff and will have the opportunity to take an active role in the continued growth of our tax practice. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical tax knowledge with good judgment, attention to detail, and excellent client communication skills. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review federal and state individual income tax returns
- Prepare and review business tax returns, including partnerships, S corporations, and corporations
- Prepare or review fiduciary and other tax returns depending on experience
- Provide tax planning and tax-saving recommendations to individuals and business owners
- Research federal and state tax issues as needed
- Assist clients with estimated tax payments and year-end tax planning
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, questions, and planning opportunities
- Review client financial information and identify potential tax or accounting issues
- Assist clients with IRS and state tax notices and correspondence
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and support staff
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential client files
- Stay current on changes in federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Assist in developing and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships Qualifications
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 3+ years of prior experience preparing individual and business income tax returns
- Strong knowledge of federal and state income taxation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple client matters and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with individuals, business owners, and other professionals
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Experience with professional tax preparation and accounting software preferred
- PTIN or ability to obtain a PTIN before the start of tax season Compensation & Benefits
- $85,000-$110,000 annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications
