What You'll Do As a Staff Accountant , you'll build a strong foundation in public accounting while working alongside experienced professionals on a diverse client portfolio. You'll gain hands-on experience in tax, accounting, and advisory services while developing the technical and professional skills needed for long-term career growth.Tax Preparation & Compliance:
Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns while ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm and regulatory standards.Accounting & Advisory Support:
Assist with financial statement preparation and provide accounting and business consulting support for a variety of clients.Bookkeeping & Financial Reporting:
Perform bookkeeping functions, account reconciliations, and journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.Client Collaboration:
Communicate professionally with clients to obtain documentation, answer questions, and provide exceptional client service.Engagement Support:
Collaborate with senior staff, managers, and partners to complete engagements efficiently while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.Technology & Process Improvement:
Utilize QuickBooks, firm software, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflow.Professional Development:
Continuously expand your technical knowledge through mentorship, hands-on experience, and ongoing learning opportunities.What You Bring Certification:
Active CPA candidate or CPA license (Preferred)Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.Experience:
1-2 years of public accounting experience preferred, with exposure to tax preparation and accounting services.Technical Foundation:
Strong understanding of accounting principles with experience preparing tax returns and financial statements.Technology Skills:
Experience with QuickBooks and client bookkeeping preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.Organization & Accuracy:
Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills in a deadline-driven environment.Growth Mindset:
