Job Description
The Corporate Accounting group is responsible for the accuracy and clarity of CME Group's consolidated financial statements. This team ensures our quarterly and annual reports meet all SEC requirements. As a Staff Accountant, you will support the day-to-day financial health of the organization by managing the close process and ensuring our financial records are precise and reliable. What You'll Do Maintain Financial Records:
Prepare and record journal entries and perform general ledger reconciliations. You will ensure all work meets internal standards and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.Coordinate Audits:
Work directly with internal and external auditors. You will organize documentation and provide the support necessary to complete audited financial statements. Support theClose:
Help the team meet monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines to ensure financial statements are issued on time.Lead Special Audits:
Take ownership of audits for our non-profit entities and ensure all required government filings are submitted correctly.Analyze Performance:
Partner with stakeholders across the business to review financial trends and variances. You will also support process improvements, new business ventures, and foreign entity audits. Assist theTeam:
Provide hands-on support for various accounting projects and ad-hoc requests as they arise.What You'll Bring Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a similar level of practical accounting experience.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Google Workspace and MS Office products.Analytical Mindset:

The pay range for this role is $57,600-$96,000. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
