Inventory Accountant:
Manage inventory accounting processes, including monthly and year-end inventory reconciliations Ensure accurate costing and valuation of inventory, including standard cost updates, cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis, and inventory adjustments Reconcile physical inventory counts with the general ledger and investigate discrepancies Support month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of inventory-related financials Analyze inventory trends, perform margin analysis, and identify opportunities for cost control Collaborate with supply chain, purchasing, and operations teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with inventory-related controls and procedures Maintain and improve inventory reporting tools, systems, and processes Support the implementation of new inventory systems or process improvements as needed Qualifications of an
Inventory Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2-4 years of accounting experience with a focus on inventory, cost accounting, or manufacturing Strong understanding of inventory management, costing methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, weighted average), and COGS analysis Proficient in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical skills and ability to work cross-functionally with operations and supply chain teams Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles EB-2150966202
