  • Mortgage (Lombard, IL) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Proficient in accounting and financial management software and Microsoft Office products Strong working knowledge of MS Excel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 1-3 years of related professional Accounting/Finance experience Mortgage or financial services industry experience a plus Responsibilities The Staff Accountant supports the accounting functions for our Forward division and reports directly to the Senior Accountant•Mortgage.
This position is an individual contributor role that requires strong attention to detail and organization, and offers regular exposure to divisional financial reporting as a foundation for growth within the accounting team. Support the Senior Accountant in the timely and accurate preparation of journal entries and accounting reports in accordance with GAAP Assist in preparing components of the monthly profit and loss statements for assigned branches, under the Senior Accountant's review Gather and organize supporting documentation for branch-level transaction questions and P&L inquiries Assist with calculating and entering loan sale and revenue entries under supervision Prepare daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations for assigned ledgers Support the Senior Accountant and accounting operations team in maintaining general ledger structure and data integrity across branches Assist with various accounting projects and ad hoc requests as needed Identify and flag opportunities for process improvement in day-to-day accounting tasks This is an on-site position based out of our Lombard, IL office. The salary range for this position is $60,000
  • 75,000 annually.
