Time Summary Pirtano is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing, multi-entity organization. This role will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and helping modernize accounting processes in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a roll-up-your-sleeves environment, enjoys building structure, and can partner cross-functionally with operations, HR, and leadership Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Close Process Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes across multiple entities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with GAAP Assist in consolidations and intercompany accounting Operational Accounting Oversee job cost accounting and support project-based financial tracking Partner with operations to analyze job profitability, labor costs, and margins Monitor WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules and revenue recognition (percentage of completion)

• Maintain and optimize NetSuite, including workflows, reporting, and integrations Payroll & Benefits Accounting Collaborate with HR/payroll (ADP or similar) on payroll accounting, benefits accruals, and deductions Support accounting for 401(k), benefits, and multi-state payroll compliance impacts Compliance & Audit Assist with annual audit, 401(k) audit (Form 5500), and external reporting requirements Ensure compliance with multi-state tax filings and regulatory requirements Maintain and improve internal controls and documentation Process Improvement & Systems Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and reduce risk of error Support implementation or optimization of ERP/accounting systems and reporting tools Contribute to automation initiatives and improved financial visibility Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with multi-entity, construction industry or project-based industry Advanced Excel skills, experience with BI tools a plus Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment Preferred CPA or CPA candidate Experience in the construction industry Experience with union environments and certified payroll Familiarity with ADP or similar payroll systems Hands on NetSuite experience Exposure to multi-state operations and compliance Key Competencies High attention to detail with strong analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong communication skills across finance and operations Process-driven with a mindset for continuous improvement Comfortable working in an environment that is building structure and scaling Why Join Pirtano Opportunity to help build and modernize the accounting function High visibility role with direct exposure to executive leadership Impactful position influencing financial operations and business decisions Competitive compensation and benefits package
