10/06/2026 Senior Accountant Princeton, IL Beck's is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team at our home office in Princeton, IL. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ready to take the next step in their accounting career and wants a place where they can continue to learn, take on more responsibility, and build a long-term career. You'll work closely with our CFO, accounting team, and leaders throughout the company, giving you the opportunity to learn all sides of the financial operations behind our convenience stores and car washes. We're looking for someone who is strong in accounting, enjoys solving problems, and wants to be part of a company where there is opportunity to advance over time. Salary $70,000-$90,000 annually, based on experience. Benefits 100% Employee-Owned through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)401(k) with company matchMonthly cell phone allowancePaid time off and holiday payMedical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life and disability insuranceProfessional development opportunities Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & General Ledger Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliationsSupport the month-end close process and financial reportingMaintain accurate accounting records and strong internal controlsReview financial information for accuracy and identify discrepanciesHelp improve accounting processes and procedures Operational Accounting Process and reconcile daily fuel accounting and invoicingMaintain accounts receivable records and monitor outstanding balancesProcess and apply customer paymentsManage the fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and depreciationAdminister the company fleet card program, including transaction review and issue resolution Team & Operational Support Help oversee the day-to-day workflow of the admin accounting teamSupport store managers with daily paperwork, cash reconciliation questions, and other accounting needsWork with the CFO, accounting team, and operational leaders to resolve issues and improve processesTake on additional accounting responsibilities as you learn the business and develop in the role Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredFive or more years of professional accounting experience preferredStrong knowledge of general ledger accounting, GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, internal controls, accounts receivable, and fixed assetAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and with accounting or ERP systemsSolid analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detailOrganized and able to manage multiple priorities Experience in retail, convenience store, fuel, or multi-location accounting is a plus Why Beck's?
