Job Description

Company Overview:
RapidAir is a leading designer and manufacturer of branded compressed air solutions, including piping, fittings, filtration, and accessories, and serving transportation, manufacturing, industrial, energy, agricultural, and consumer markets. In 2024, Gryphon Investors acquired a controlling interest in RapidAir through its Heritage Fund, positioning the company for significant growth. Together, we're expanding into new markets, strengthening customer relationships, and leveraging macro industrial trends to scale RapidAir's leadership in the compressed air space.
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is a key member of RapidAir's finance team, responsible for the integrity of financial records, reporting, and controls across a dynamic, growth-oriented manufacturing environment. This role goes beyond transactional accounting; it requires analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to interpret financial data in ways that inform business decisions. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Accountant partners across the organization to support month-end close, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning initiatives. Please note that this is an in-office role, based in our Schaumburg corporate HQ. On-site presence is required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Conduct account analyses and variance reporting; identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for cost reduction or operational improvement Evaluate account structures and recommend improvements to accounting systems, controls, and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency Interpret and present financial data to support management decision-making Coordinate external audits and tax filings; prepare supporting documentation and serve as a key point of contact for auditors and regulators Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in partnership with the CFO and Sr FP&A Partner Assist CFO with acquisition due diligence and financial integration activities Advise operating leaders on accounting matters and proactively communicate financial information to stakeholders across the business
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience with Microsoft Business Central or a comparable ERP system; advanced Excel skills required Strong command of GAAP, financial reporting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial information, draw conclusions, and communicate findings clearly Effective time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:

$95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
