We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will help maintain accurate financial records, support recurring close activities, and contribute to timely reporting for business leadership. This opportunity is well suited for an accounting specialist who enjoys analytical work, values precision, and can collaborate effectively across departments.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the general ledger by recording financial activity accurately and ensuring entries are posted within established deadlines.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and other adjustments needed to support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles.
• Complete reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key ledgers, investigating and resolving variances promptly.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and internal reports, providing clear analysis on trends and account activity.
• Support period-end close by organizing schedules, validating balances, and helping ensure reporting is completed on time.
• Review accounting records for consistency with company policies and applicable standards, correcting discrepancies when identified.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis to support operational and management decisions.
• Partner with audit and tax processes by assembling requested documentation and helping address compliance-related reporting needs.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activity as needed to promote accurate cash and transaction reporting.
• Recommend improvements to accounting workflows, internal controls, and documentation practices to strengthen efficiency and accuracy.
