This position will focus on restoring accuracy to payroll-related balance sheet accounts by researching historical activity, resolving discrepancies, and producing well-supported reconciliations for U.S. and international entities. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting judgment, excels in high-volume data analysis, and can organize complex information into clear, audit-ready documentation.

Responsibilities:

Reconstruct payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations covering historical periods for domestic and international operations. Examine aged variances, outstanding reconciling items, and legacy balances to determine root causes and drive resolution. Review payroll liabilities, accruals, tax withholdings, benefit accounts, and other related balances to confirm accuracy and completeness. Assess current reconciliation files and supporting schedules, identify missing detail, and build a stronger end-to-end reconciliation approach. Use NetSuite to pull financial records, analyze account activity, and support detailed account research. Collaborate with accounting and payroll partners to investigate unresolved items and clear discrepancies efficiently. Interpret and organize international payroll reconciliation support, including records presented in multiple languages or formats. Compile large volumes of transactional and historical data into structured workpapers that support audit readiness. Prepare clear documentation and substantiation for account balances to help bring records to a fully reconciled state. The salary range for this position is $28 to $35/hour, plus bonus. Significant experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role with deep exposure to balance sheet reconciliations is required. Strong understanding of payroll accounting, including liabilities, accruals, and payroll tax-related accounts, is preferred. Experience working with both U.S. and international payroll-related accounts is a plus. Proficiency with NetSuite and Microsoft Excel is preferred. Ability to research complex account activity, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues with minimal oversight. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage large data sets while producing accurate, audit-ready workpapers.
