Job Description

The Staff Accountant is directly responsible to the Fiscal Director for assisting in the operation of agency's fiscal records.
Agency Responsibilities:
  • Attend all in-service training sessions and other scheduled meetings/activities as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Comply with agency personnel policies, procedures, and personnel practices.
  • Assist the Agency Receptionist by answering the phone and directing calls.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities Accounts Payable:
  • Verify that invoices are properly approved (verify whether vendors meet the 1099 requirements).
  • AP invoice data entry of approved invoices into the software program
  • AP check run from the software program
  • Prepare annual Form 1099s at year end
Accounts Receivable:
  • Prepare and process accounts receivable billing, including:
  • Tuition
  • DHS (ROCS)
  • ICFDD
  • Maintenance of Accounts Receivable ledgers which includes communication of discrepancies and follow up of outstanding balances.
Payroll:
  • Assist in the Payroll processing twice per month
  • Cash tracking for CILA client program Maintain financial records:
  • Grocery receipts reconciled to monthly statements
  • Fuel receipts reconciled to monthly statements
Fiscal Administration Support:
  • Assist the Fiscal Director with month end processing to prepare for Board of Director meeting
  • Assist with year-end financial processing to prepare for annual audit
  • Maintain and updated Fixed asset master file
  • Depositing checks received at the
Bank Assist Human Resources Director:
  • File personnel records
  • Other clerical accounting duties as assigned by Fiscal Director or HR Director
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Education (minimum requirements for education and experience) Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Technical 2 years

From $50,000.00 per year
