We're Looking For:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
You Will:
Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial records, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable transactions. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and analysis of variances. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis. Process and verify expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper recording and reporting of financial transactions. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide support during external audits. Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance. Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline and enhance accounting procedures. Provide accurate and timely financial information to management as requested.
Location:
This role will be hybrid in our Carmel, Indiana Headquarters.
Must Have's:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP). Proficiency in Excel, Google Suite offerings, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle). Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Nice to

Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes is a plus. CPA certification or progress toward obtaining CPA is a strong advantage.
