Elkhart, IN Job Details Full-time $62,000 - $68,000 a year 7 days ago Qualifications Writing skills GAAP International accounting Full Job Description Assist in maintaining the general ledger. Maintain sales tax software database. Set up new customer accounts. Help perform the month-end closing process for all companies. Perform monthly reconciliations between the general ledger and corresponding sub-ledgers and bank accounts. Manage accounts receivable collections process. Assist AP Clerk as needed in verifying and entering vendor invoices. Support AP, AR, and financial operations by verifying, entering, processing vendor and customer invoices and payments. Verify daily bank transactions as needed. Enhance and maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures. Assist with process implementation and improvement initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. Understanding of and the ability to adhere to GAAP and other applicable global accounting standards. Ability to correctly prepare tax reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, preferred. At least three years of related experience required. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. ERP experience required (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
