Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct collection outreach as needed and follow up on outstanding customer balances in a detail-oriented manner.
- Investigate invoice-related questions by reviewing records, researching discrepancies, and helping resolve billing concerns.
- Provide backup support for accounting operations, including reconciliations and other assigned financial tasks.
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable activities to help maintain accurate and timely transaction processing.
- Prepare and record journal entries while supporting the accuracy of general ledger information.
- Complete bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial records align with supporting documentation.
- Communicate questions early, seek clarification when needed, and take initiative to contribute during slower periods. Requirements
- Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related finance support role.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Familiarity with general ledger activity and preparing journal entries.
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations and research account discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to maintaining accurate records.
- Comfortable making collection calls and handling invoice follow-up professionally.
- Self-motivated mindset with a willingness to ask questions and take on additional work as needed.
