Job Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the organization. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of client billing, claim funding activities, account reconciliations, reporting, and disbursements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; experience in healthcare administration, benefits administration, insurance, or financial services is a plus. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience with account reconciliations, billing, and cash management processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Experience with accounting software and reporting tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Experience working for a Third-Party Administrator (TPA), benefits administrator, insurance company, or healthcare-related organization. Knowledge of claim funding processes, and client account management. Experience creating and automating reports.
