Staff Accountant Location:
Munster, IN (100% onsite)
Schedule:
Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
Salary:
$60,000 to $75,000 Are you looking to grow your accounting career with a stable and well-respected organization? Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This position offers a great opportunity to gain exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, audit support, and month-end close activities while working alongside experienced accounting leadership. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Record journal entries and ensure accurate financial reporting. Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies. Prepare financial reports, supporting schedules, and management reporting packages. Support internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation and maintaining records. Assist with regulatory and compliance-related reporting requirements. Identify process improvements and recommend efficiencies within accounting operations. Partner with accounting leadership on special projects and departmental initiatives. Stay current on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, filtering, and data analysis. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred 1+ years of accounting experience, including internship experience. Experience in public accounting, financial services, banking, or a regulated industry.
