BBMAbout the RoleThe Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with financial reporting and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
• Assist in preparing internal and external financial reports
• Ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP
• Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal departments
• Support audits with documentation and analysis
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (retail/grocery preferred)
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Work EnvironmentOffice environment with extended periods of computer and desk work.
