Job Description
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
| Mishawaka, IN About the Company & Opportunity- A reputable and established South Bend, IN organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance and accounting team.
- This Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the monthly close process, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accuracy across general ledger accounts.

- Manage and perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Review and analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audit requests and help maintain internal controls.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and assist in workflow management. Core Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or pursuing CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or corporate accounting.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Professional communication and ability to collaborate across departments.
