Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various financial processes across the organization. Your expertise will help drive informed decision-making and uphold the integrity of our financial data. Duties Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Workday. Conduct general ledger accounting and ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including ledger reconciliation and financial statement preparation. Assist with payroll processing using systems like ADP, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian while ensuring compliance with tax laws and company policies. Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining meticulous data entry and record-keeping practices. Collaborate with internal teams to perform account analysis, budgeting support, and financial data analysis using Excel data analysis tools and spreadsheets. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and journal entries. Familiarity with accounting systems including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar software platforms. Knowledge of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements and experience working within governmental or corporate accounting environments preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management. Strong numeracy skills combined with excellent attention to detail for account reconciliation and balance sheet management. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills coupled with customer service orientation for effective collaboration across departments. $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
