full-time Pinnacle Partners is recruiting for a Senior Accountant in Shelbyville, Indiana. Our client is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join a lean, hands-on team within an automotive manufacturing environment. We are seeking a self-driven, detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong GAAP knowledge, automotive manufacturing experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. Assist with inventory processes and mid-year and year-end audits. Manage accounts receivable functions. Assist with month-end close, including general ledger and other accounting activities. Support cost analysis, banking, fixed assets, and financial statement preparation. Work cross-functionally with manufacturing teams, vendors, and customers. Support internal controls and upcoming J-SOX requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 4+ years of accounting experience. 2+ years of automotive manufacturing experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax laws. Experience with account reconciliations, cost analysis, month-end close, general ledger, banking, fixed assets, and financial statements. Excel experience, including basic formulas, VLOOKUPs, and reformatting exported data. Self-driven, detail-oriented, personable, and able to work well across departments.
Preferred:
CPA. Experience with CMS (AS400) or Plex

implementation experience.
