Works as a public accountant (prepares financial documents where public disclosure is required by law, such as business balance sheets and tax returns), management accountant (prepares financial information for internal use by a company) or government accountant (maintains records for government agencies).

Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Accurately record monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Sales, use, and property tax compliance
- Assist in planning, budgeting, and forecasting of expenses.
- Participate in physical inventories as needed.
- Assist with requests from management for ad hoc or special reports; provide requested data in a user-friendly format.
- Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Able to extract data from a database and manipulate/combine with other data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- ERP experience software experience with Oracle / SAP / Plex preferred.
- Inventory cost valuation a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Able to work in a team and independently.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting and a minimum of three years' applicable work experience.
- MBA and prior manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
- Experience with accounting software systems.
