Plyco Corporation is actively hiring a Manufacturing Cost Accountant to support continued operational growth at our Elkhart Lake, WI location. You'll work closely with operations, logistics, leadership, and finance teams to help drive accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the organization. coverage 401(k) with company match PTO, vacation, and paid holidays Stable company with strong leadership and long-term growth Collaborative, team-oriented environment High-impact role with visibility across leadership and operations Opportunity to improve systems and processes What You'll Do Analyze production variances, material costs, labor costs, and cost trends Lead month-end close activities, reporting, and general ledger balancing Monitor inventory accuracy and support cycle count processes Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and item master data Partner with operations, logistics, and finance teams to identify cost-saving opportunities Support pricing analysis and communicate cost drivers to leadership Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and fixed asset reconciliations Ensure accurate tracking of material, labor, and inventory costs Participate in operational meetings and continuous improvement initiatives Help improve reporting processes, costing accuracy, and system efficiencies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of manufacturing accounting or cost accounting experience Experience with inventory, standard costing, BOMs, and variance analysis Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Experience working within ERP systems preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams Self-motivated with strong attention to detail Why This Role Stands Out High visibility role with direct impact on operations and leadership decisions Opportunity to partner closely with manufacturing and operational teams Ability to influence process improvements and operational efficiencies Stable and growing manufacturing organization Long-term career growth potential
