Job Description

General Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, driven finance professional to oversee core corporate accounting operations, financial reporting, and budget analysis. This role requires a strong work ethic, advanced technical accounting expertise, and the ability to maintain rigorous financial controls across multiple business entities while partnering closely with executive leadership.
Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close:
Manage comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles, including general ledger maintenance, accruals, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
Audits & Compliance:
Coordinate and assist with annual financial and operational audits, ensuring adherence to established accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Reconciliations & Analysis:
Perform timely, accurate reconciliations of complex bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts; investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist executive management in preparing, tracking, and analyzing corporate and operational budgets, variance analyses, and management reporting summaries.
Data Integrity & Systems Management:
Oversee the accurate daily entry and processing of financial transactions across enterprise accounting and property management platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or AppFolio).
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and refine accounting workflows, documentation protocols, and financial internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Cross-Functional Support:
Serve as a trusted resource for corporate and operational personnel, providing financial guidance and supporting special projects as needed by the CFO.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
Experience:
3+ years of progressive accounting experience (corporate accounting, audit, or real estate/construction accounting preferred).
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software systems.
Core Competencies:
Exceptional attention to detail, robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
