Battenfeld Cincinnati is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented senior level accountant to join our team in McPherson, KS. What You'll Do:

Compile and analyze financial information for preparing and booking journal entries. Complete a variety of month-end closing tasks independently. Reconcile various general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Maintain and update standard monthly reports used by management. Collaborate with sister companies to do monthly intercompany reconciliation. Analyze statistical information and performance metrics to evaluate operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and forecast, identify problems and opportunities, and present practical solutions. Prepare sales and use tax reports and submit payments. Research and apply the appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions. Maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For:

5 years of accounting, tax, or finance experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills (SAP or ERP knowledge is a plus).
