Certified Public Accountant LFS Wealth Advisors Overland Park, KS Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Financial planning Teamwork CPA Public accounting Business formation Entrepreneurship Full Job Description
CPA OWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Acquire an Established Practice. Step Into a Built-In Growth Engine. Kansas City / Overland Park Area Are you an experienced CPA who has considered owning your own firm—but would rather build upon an established practice than start from scratch? We are creating a unique opportunity for the right CPA to acquire and lead an established accounting practice while working alongside a successful, growing wealth management firm.
THE OPPORTUNITY
An established accounting practice with a long-standing client base is preparing for a transition to its next generation of ownership. Rather than simply selling the practice to another accounting firm, our goal is to find an entrepreneurial CPA who wants to own, operate and grow the business. The practice would operate from newly designed professional office space alongside an established wealth management firm, creating significant opportunities for collaboration and growth while maintaining appropriate professional independence.
A BUILT-IN OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH
The existing accounting practice provides an established foundation from day one. But the larger opportunity may be what comes next. Our wealth management firm serves a substantial base of individuals, families, business owners and retirees—many of whom have ongoing tax planning and tax preparation needs. The right CPA would have the opportunity to: Acquire an established accounting practice and client base Transition relationships from the current owners Operate from attractive, professional office space already designed to accommodate a CPA practice Develop relationships with an established wealth management client base Expand tax preparation, tax planning, business advisory and consulting services Build a larger integrated tax and financial planning relationship for clients Create meaningful long-term equity and enterprise value
MORE THAN TAX PREPARATION
We believe the future of the profession is increasingly centered around proactive advice. The ideal CPA will see an opportunity to build a practice that goes beyond preparing tax returns and becomes an important part of clients' overall financial decision-making.
Potential areas of growth include:
Individual and business tax preparation Proactive tax planning Small-business consulting Retirement and distribution planning Entity and compensation planning Estate and legacy planning coordination Business succession planning Strategic planning for high-net-worth families and business owners
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking an experienced CPA with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to build something of their own. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, but equally important will be the ability to develop relationships, communicate with clients and lead a growing professional services business. This could be particularly attractive to a CPA who is currently: A senior CPA or manager at an accounting firm who wants ownership rather than waiting years for a partnership opportunity; An established CPA who wants to significantly expand an existing practice; Or an entrepreneurial CPA who wants the independence of ownership without the risk and difficulty of starting from zero.
OWNERSHIP & TRANSITION
This is not simply an employment opportunity. The objective is to structure a transition that allows the right CPA to become an owner of the accounting practice, with the current owners assisting in an orderly transition of existing client relationships. The specific purchase and ownership structure can be designed around the experience, resources and objectives of the selected CPA. For the right person, this represents an opportunity to step into an established business while gaining access to the infrastructure, professional relationships and potential client pipeline that could otherwise take many years to develop. Interested? If you are an experienced CPA who has thought about owning your own practice—or you're already an owner looking for a significant growth opportunity—we would welcome a confidential conversation. All inquiries will be handled confidentially.
