$60k to $70k Annual Salary depending on experience, with Network Kansas benefits package
POSITION
Director of Finance Key Responsibilities:
Working under the direction of the Director of Finance, this role manages company financial matters, budget administration, and prepares financial reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Loan management responsibilities: Loan processing responsibilities to include loan management and administration; set up and process loans, develop reports, and ensure accurate record keeping. Prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions. File loan mortgages. Disburse and record new loan funds. Schedule monthly loan payments, record payments in DownHome loan software and QuickBooks, manage payment receipts through the bank. Reconcile payment collection balance for approximately 1,000 loans. Manage past due loans and returned loan payments. Prepare delinquent loan demand letters. Communicate with staff and borrowers to make payment arrangements to bring loan accounts current. Prepare loan documents to send delinquent balances to collections. Records collections status in DownHome and QuickBooks. Manage loan program payments for Propel City of Wichita, Manhattan Elevate, and Community Foundations. Assist with the integration and implementation of new software procedures. Accounts Payable responsibilities to assist
Director of Finance:
Pay bills promptly and maintain ledgers, attain approval for invoices to be paid, process payment through QuickBooks and banking. Prepare reimbursement for employee business travel. Process employee travel receipts and post expenses to accounts in QuickBooks. Record, disburse, and track grant funded expenses. Credit card and bank reconciliation for multiple accounts.
Other duties as assigned:
Prepare financial or regulatory reports required by laws, regulations, or management. Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting or collection procedures, and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, or other financial control functions. Provide support for all annual audits and any audits related to new or existing programs including federal and state audits. Assure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements. Support strategic revenue generation and/or budget offset through grants, utilization of tax credits, interest income and partnerships. Work with organizational units in the areas of financial management and work with various staff on data management. Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Education and experience requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting required. 1 - 5 years of work experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for direction and planning. Advanced skills with complex features in QuickBooks, Excel, Team's, Outlook, Dropbox, and Adobe. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, on the phone and in person. Strong sense of initiative and self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Work with a high degree of integrity and hold high ethical standards. Participate in in-person and virtual meetings.
Preferred:
Knowledge of statewide resource partners, particularly funding partners such as certified development companies, regional foundations and main street organizations.
