Senior Financial Accountant, Project Accountant, Corporate Accountant, Accounting Analyst, Staff Accountant II, Financial Reporting Accountant, Revenue Accountant, General Ledger Accountant Help Drive Financial Excellence at PROtect PROtect, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting operational decision-making, and maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for month-end close activities, project accounting, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. What You'll Do Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with month-end close activities. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze account fluctuations. Assist in the preparation of monthly GAAP financial statements and reporting packages. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Project Accounting & Revenue Recognition Lead project accounting activities for assigned divisions. Manage monthly revenue recognition processes. Coordinate time-and-material and fixed-price project billings. Support sales and use tax reporting requirements. Prepare monthly financial reports for operational leadership. Accounts Receivable & Payable Review and maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. Ensure customer payments are applied accurately and timely. Assist with collections and account reconciliations as needed. Process Improvement & Business Support Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Develop reporting and performance metrics that support business decisions. Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting systems and assist with employee training. Support annual audits, tax preparation activities, and special projects. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 2+ years of accounting or finance experience. Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting practices. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional analytical and business math skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Qualifications Public accounting experience. Experience with project accounting and revenue recognition. Experience supporting audits and financial reporting processes. Skills & Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Sound reasoning and decision-making skills. Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and squat throughout the workday. Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds without assistance. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain focus on detailed work. Work Environment This position primarily operates in an office environment with occasional travel or off-site work as business needs require.
