Exempt Job Summary:
The Senior Staff Accountant will handle key responsibilities in the accounting and finance department. You will show experience in working with reconciliations, accounts payable, financial analysis, and will show a demonstrated knowledge in working with QuickBooks. This role is crucial in contributing to the overall success of Gravity.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform daily cash reconciliations and collections reporting, including posting of cash receipts to QuickBooks. Process daily / weekly accounts payable Manage and train a team of staff accountants Create, prepare, and update supporting schedules and reconciliations required for the month-end financial statement close process Assist with inventory management including month-end and mid-month cycle counts Perform cost analysis and review of invoices to confirm appropriate pricing Assist with other accounting and finance functions as necessary
Required Skills and Abilities:
Experience in operational accounting close work, performing data review and calculation of technical results Working knowledge in general ledger systems Must have good working knowledge of US GAAP accounting Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and complex formulas
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field. 3 or more years of applicable work experience; preferably with exposure to general ledger, month-end close and reconciliation in an ERP environment. Advanced Excel skills required, along with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Physical Requirements:
