Job Description
Responsibilities for this position are:
- Performs various accounting duties in the maintenance of accounting and financial records
- Processes financial transactions, disbursements, and receipts either manually or by data processing, filing; and performs other duties as required.
- Processes invoices received for payment for two facilities. Creates various payment documents in eMARS procurement tracking system. Processes financial transactions, disbursements, and fund transfer requests.
- Reconciles activity received to activity invoiced by the vendors prior to payment. Assures correct coding of documents and makes corrections in accounting records and calculates adjustments. Assure all documentation is present to make payments. Enter documents for payment within 4 days of receipt.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and training courses. Complete all on-line training required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for this position are:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- An updated resume must be submitted to be considered
- Minimum two years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or fiscal clerical experience. Training in accounting, business administration, business education, office administration or a related field will substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Advantage insurance/third party billing procedures
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Prior experience with eMARS preferred
- Must have experience working in electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication skills & customer service skills
- Must have experience in Word & Excel
- Must be able to navigate stairs frequently throughout the workday as part of the essential job functions.
