Staff Accountant

Description The Staff Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end close. This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation and grow within a finance team. Key Responsibilities + Prepare and post journal entries + Perform monthly account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet accounts) + Assist with month-end and year-end close processes + Maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting documentation + Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed + Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis + Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls + Support internal and external audits + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + 1-3+ years of accounting experience (internship or public accounting a plus) + Basic understanding of GAAP + Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, basic formulas) + Experience with accounting software or ERP systems + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications + Public accounting or industry experience + ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) + CPA or CPA-eligible + Experience in manufacturing, nonprofit, or service-based environments Work Environment + Hybrid or onsite depending on business needs + Collaborative, deadline-driven environment with growth opportunities Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
