Description:
Purpose The Accounting and Administrative Coordinator will provide support to the Accounting department and Executive Team. Position will perform daily accounting and bookkeeping support functions, along with administrative support to the Executive team. Assists Controller in ensuring the departments' activities run smoothly and efficiently. Primary Duties The primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Adheres to the Bank's Mission, Vision, Core Values and Core Purpose while providing customers with timely, responsive, and exceptional service in accordance with the Bank's customer service standards. Process Accounts Payable, ensuring transactions are paid in a timely manner. Assists with month-end Accounts Payable accrual. Maintains Deposit Reclassification Program Prepares daily accounting entries to correspondent bank accounts. Assists with month-end entries, adjustments, and reports. Assists with preparation and filing of 1099-Misc. Assists with the payment of principal and interest of Brokered CDs and other borrowings. Performs administrative assistance to Executive Team, including coordinating calendars, arranging travel, maintaining credit cards, and other administrative assistance as assigned. Orders supplies for all retail locations. Manages vendor relationships with shred company, cleaning company, and drink provider. Coordinates anniversary and birthday gifts Assists with Employee Appreciation Committee Assist the Human Resources department with other duties, including processing clothing allowances and assisting with orientation schedules. Performs other general accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Working Conditions Duties are performed in an office environment in a professional business setting. Position may require travel when attending community events/meetings, internal meetings/trainings and to banking centers. Requirements:
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. In lieu of degree, 2-3 years previous banking experience is acceptable. The incumbent should possess strong organizational skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. Should be capable of working in a team environment to ensure a high level of productivity and commitment. In addition, the incumbent must possess excellent and concise written and verbal communication skills including professional grammar. The applicant must be a self-starter who can work independently, as well as working in a team environment to ensure a high level of productivity and commitment. Positive attitude, detailed-oriented, and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications. Physical and/or Mental Requirements May be required to sit for extended periods of time while performing job duties. May be required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds in the form of paperwork, files, or other items. Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time, paying attention to detail.
