Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive accounting expertise to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and strategic financial analysis. Your proactive approach will support our organization's growth, uphold rigorous standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and contribute to the seamless operation of our financial functions. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Manage tax compliance activities including tax return preparation, tax reporting, and adherence to tax law and regulations.. Oversee corporate accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheet reconciliation. Assist with complex tax planning strategies including estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law, and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) projects. Support financial analysis for mergers & acquisitions, investment evaluations, and asset management initiatives. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms for bookkeeping, financial report writing, and analysis. Collaborate with clients on financial consulting projects related to private equity, non-profit accounting, or regulatory compliance accounting. Maintain clear communication with clients regarding financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting issues. Contribute to the development of budgets, financial planning strategies, and cash flow analysis to support organizational growth. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or corporate finance with a focus on accounting and finance principles. Demonstrated expertise in tax law, individual tax preparation, corporate tax strategies, and regulatory compliance accounting. Strong background in auditing practices along with familiarity with SOX compliance requirements. Hands-on experience with various accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or equivalent tools. Knowledge of securities law related to financial reporting and client communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement. Ability to interpret complex financial reports and provide insightful analysis for decision-making purposes. Experience working on mergers & acquisitions or private equity transactions is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and balance sheet management. Strong analytical skills combined with a solid understanding of financial concepts such as budgeting, asset management, and financial statement interpretation.
