Controller / Senior Accountant (Hands-On)

Job DescriptionJob Description Jet Coffee (On-Site) Controller / Senior Accountant (Hands-On) Jet Coffee is growing, and we're hiring a hands-on Controller/Senior Accountant to own day-to-day accounting and financial reporting within an existing accounting structure currently supported by an outsourced provider. This role is ideal for someone who wants to do the work, take ownership of accuracy and deadlines, and grow into a larger role as additional locations open. What You'll Own You will serve as the internal owner of day-to-day accounting and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and on-time reporting. Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations Handle daily bank and credit card transaction coding and input, and work with a third-party accounting partner to complete reconciliations.

Manage Accounts Payable:

bill entry, expense coding, and vendor documentation Record and maintain bi-weekly payroll journal entries and summaries for leadership Review daily sales activity and verify the accuracy of automated journal entries vs. system sales reporting Close & Financial Reporting Lead the month-end close process Maintain accrual schedules Verify expense accounts and location coding Prepare inventory valuation worksheets and inventory journal entries by location Review balance sheet accounts and adjust loan accounts for correct principal/interest allocation Prepare monthly financial statements for leadership review. Coordination with CPA Work with the CPA firm to support tax filings and formal financial statement reporting Growth Path As Jet Coffee continues to grow, this role will expand in scope. Additional accounting support is expected to be added over time, shifting routine and lower-level work, while this role remains hands-on and maintains ownership of accuracy, close, and reporting. Qualifications 5+ years in accounting with experience in a Controller, Senior Accountant, or comparable role Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Experience with reconciliations, AP, and month-end close High attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly about the numbers

Compensation & Benefits Salary:
