Accountant-Controller

Immediate opening for Accountant/Controller in challenging, fast-paced, multi-company environment as a key member of the finance team. Position is 100% on site in Mer Rouge, Louisiana with annual pay range of $72,000 - $85,000. Duties include (but are not limited to): Compiling and readying tax documents; coordinating with tax preparers Annual property/seasonal tax items; extensions, schedules, inter-company interest Payroll, sales, unemployment, use taxes and tax exemptions Providing guidance of tax impacts on various transactions Monitor/ensure compliance with all manner of company/corporate tax requirements Maintain compliance with all local/state/federal agencies and respond to inquiries Monitor/assist with payroll, reports, audit preparation Various licensures including grain/warehouse (USDA; LD Ag Forrest); Cab Cards, renewals Maintain QuickBooks access across all companies; account management; expense accounting systems; monthly review meeting prep Year-end business accounting and payroll activities Support plant/corporate cost savings programs

Minimum Requirements:

Advanced business and tax acumen Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with at least 5 years' experience in field with 3+ years as accounting/controller in manufacturing environment Proficient with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook Knowledge of

GAAP, IFRS

reporting standards Knowledge/understanding of company taxes, payroll systems, standards, requirements Advanced financial management and strategical thinking skills Exceptional effective multi-tasking skills in fast-paced, multifaceted environments 3+ years' relevant experience in corporate taxation.
