ACCOUNTANT
Job Summary The Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions. Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and account reconciliations. Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Monitor financial activity and identify discrepancies or areas requiring further review. Ensure accounting records and processes are maintained in accordance with GAAP and applicable company procedures. Support the development and maintenance of internal accounting controls and financial procedures. Assist Management with financial analysis and information needed to support business decisions. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation and records. Support external accounting, tax, audit, or financial reporting requirements as needed. Maintain confidentiality of company financial information. Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is a strong advantage (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial management. Experience in a service-based or staffing industry is a plus. Previous experience managing internal company finances is highly preferred.
Skills:
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP). Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and MS Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
