full-time Our client, a manufacturing firm in the Bellingham, MA area is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations within a collaborative environment. This is a highly visible role and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of multiple entities. Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain financial records Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting Manage banking activities, including cash management, ACH transactions, and wire transfers Prepare internal financial reports and analyses for leadership Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers Partner cross-functionally to ensure timely and accurate financial information Support compliance, reporting requirements, and special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a small to mid-sized business environment Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices Advanced Excel skills preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information Compensation They are 5 days on site to start, but then drop down to 2/3 after the first year. They are targeting a salary in the 80K -100k range, pending experience, with an excellent benefits package.
