Job Description
Senior Accountant About the Opportunity Our client, a growing and dynamic organization, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a high-impact role within a collaborative accounting group, with strong visibility to leadership and a clear path for growth. The Senior Accountant will operate as a key individual contributor , working closely with the Controller and FP&A team , and will take ownership of core accounting functions in a fast-paced, evolving environment. While the role does not currently include direct reports, it offers a strong runway into people management as the company scales . Key Responsibilities Own and execute key aspects of the month-end and year-end close process Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Maintain and oversee the general ledger , ensuring accuracy and compliance Manage and enhance accounts payable (AP) processes Ensure adherence to GAAP and strengthen internal controls Partner cross-functionally with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Collaborate directly with the Controller on reporting, audits, and strategic initiatives Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation Step into future leadership responsibilities as the accounting team grows Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience , including month-end close and financial reporting Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls Experience with accounts payable (AP) and general ledger management Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems CPA is a plus , but not required Background in public accounting (Big 4 or similar) strongly preferred Proven ability to take ownership, manage priorities, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment Why This Role? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
