SSTAR is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) which affords our employees eligibility to apply for one of our three Loan Repayment Programs, including the
HRSA LRP.
The Junior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records by performing day-to-day general accounting tasks such as entering cash receipts, vouchering accounts payable, processing bi-weekly payroll and miscellaneous other accounting duties as necessary, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, as well as providing essential support to the finance department. Troubleshooting to resolve discrepancies and other payroll issues. Maintenance of payroll schedules including but not limited to biweekly payroll, accrued insurance schedules, accrued salaries and vacation schedules Assist with the operations of Accounts Payable. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism Timely completes annual trainings. Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
Education & Experience High School/GED required, college degree preferred Minimum of two (2) years' experience in accounting or related field Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Analysis and reporting of financial data Excellent mathematical and analytical skill Proficient in
