Onsite five days per week during training and onboarding; once fully up and running, the schedule will transition to four days onsite and one remote day per week.

Virtual interview Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting operations. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is early in their accounting career and interested in building a strong foundation in financial processes, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with people in person and over the phone, in addition to communicating by email. Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate accounting transactions in the company's accounting or ERP system.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile AMEX corporate accounts for all company locations.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Process invoices and vendor payments.
- Investigate discrepancies and work with other departments to resolve accounting and transaction issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Support the Controller with internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation.
- Assist with the annual physical inventory audit in Massachusetts.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and applicable regulations.
- Perform other accounting duties and ad hoc analysis as assigned. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 0-2 years of accounting experience; approximately one year of experience is preferred.
- Basic understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
- Ability to learn and work with accounting and ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, dependable, and willing to learn.
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues and business partners in person and over the phone. Preferred Qualifications
- Previous accounting internship or experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-based business.
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
