Job Description

Senior Accountant Direct Hire Salary:
80-95k plus bonus Hybrid 3 days onsite -
Franklin, Massachusetts Must Haves:

Plus:
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Manufacturing industry Small-mid size company experience Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant ensures the accuracy and integrity of accounting for the U.S. manufacturing operation while helping improve the efficiency, controls, and reporting capabilities of the Finance function. This role oversees close, cost accounting, inventory, fixed assets, reconciliations, reporting, and process improvement while partnering with Operations, IT, and leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead month- and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting schedules. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and plant-performance analyses. Manage cost accounting and analyze material, labor, overhead, purchase-price, scrap, yield, and production variances. Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, reserves, excess/obsolete inventory, WIP, and finished-goods valuation. Manage fixed-asset records, depreciation, capital projects, transfers, and disposals. Monitor credit, collections, banking, cash position, working capital, and capital expenditures. Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and working-capital initiatives. Maintain strong internal controls, reconciliations, procedures, and audit documentation while identifying and escalating risks or data-quality issues. Support internal and external audits and coordinate tax and regulatory reporting with the Controller and external specialists. Review and improve accounting processes by eliminating unnecessary steps, standardizing procedures, strengthening controls, and documenting processes. Use Microsoft Copilot and approved Microsoft 365 tools to improve efficiency, reporting, documentation, and analysis while validating all outputs and protecting confidential information. Support Microsoft Dynamics 365 and reporting-data integrity by identifying root causes, correcting errors, and partnering with IT and process owners on sustainable solutions. Develop and maintain process documentation, control narratives, reconciliation procedures, and backup processes while supporting cross-training and knowledge sharing. #AFHR #LI-KM1
