Primary responsibilities include inventory and cost accounting, financial analysis, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, standard cost maintenance, and support of month-end close activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform inventory analysis and prepare excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory reserve calculations. Prepare and post cost accounting and other month-end journal entries. Complete monthly account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation. Analyze work order, material, labor, and overhead variances and communicate key drivers. Support manufacturing cost analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance. Maintain and update standard costs and support periodic cost roll activities. Assist with month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. Support internal controls, SOX compliance activities, and audit requests. Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and management reports as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, and account reconciliations. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Knowledge of standard costing and manufacturing accounting principles. Experience with ERP systems and inventory management processes. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Exposure to SOX compliance and internal controls preferred US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts . This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under the U.S. export control laws and regulations (including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, or defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.
