The GL Property Accountant is responsible for all duties related to producing monthly and annual financial reports for managed properties. This position requires close coordination with the Property Management Team, A/R and A/P and at time, homeowners, and board members. The focus will be on understanding financial statements, prepaid insurance, bank reconciliations, year-end work papers, budget, and cash monitoring. General Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly financial statements for 15-20 properties with strict deadlines. Manage general ledger and month-end/year-end close processes. Prepare audit/Review Package. Analyze Income and expense variances (budget vs. actual). Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, adjustments). Monitor and manage operating and reserve cash balances on assigned properties. Calculate condo fees on new phased-in units, create invoices, and bill developer. Ability to communicate with management and board members. Prepare workers' compensation audits. Other duties as assigned.
Annual salary:
$75-$85K.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is Required. 3+years of accounting experience is required, experience in property accounting is preferred. Strong Excel, Power Point, Word experience is a must. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Team player and have ability to work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization. Strong knowledge of accounting software is necessary (e.g. Jenark, C3, Enumerate). #LI-PK1
