full-time Position Summary The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. This role performs complex accounting activities, prepares financial analyses, reconciles accounts, and serves as a key contributor to maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to the general ledger. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and investigate variances. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reports. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis activities. Assist with external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements. Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and lease accounting as applicable. Ensure adherence to GAAP, company policies, and internal control procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes. Participate in ERP system enhancements, implementations, and process improvement initiatives. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3-7+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
