Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced PICU Registered Nurse for travel and contract assignments with leading hospitals nationwide. In this role, you will deliver high-acuity, family-centered care to critically ill infants and children, managing complex conditions, ventilators, and life-support equipment. You'll collaborate closely with pediatric intensivists and multidisciplinary teams, provide clear education and emotional support to families, and document care accurately. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICUContinuously monitor vital signs, ventilators, and life-support equipment Administer medications, treatments, and blood products per provider orders Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Educate and support patients' families on conditions, procedures, and discharge needs Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record Follow infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times Precept or support other nurses as needed while on assignment Required Skills Pediatric critical care nursing Ventilator management Hemodynamic monitoring Pediatric medication administration and titration Central line and arterial line management Pediatric emergency response/Code management Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Infection prevention and control Family and patient education in PICU setting Interdisciplinary care coordination
