Type:

full-time Our client, a leading global financial services firm based in Boston, MA, is seeking a Fund Accountant to support the daily accounting and NAV production for commingled investment portfolios. This individual will be responsible for key components of the fund accounting process, including transactions, cash, expenses, capital activity, corporate actions, derivative valuations, and reconciliation break resolution. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment, and interested in building their experience within fund accounting and investment operations.

Responsibilities include:
  • Support daily NAV calculation and accounting for commingled investment portfolios
  • Process and verify transactions, capital stock activity, expenses, corporate actions, cash, and other accounting activity
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for derivative valuation inquiries
  • Identify, research, and resolve accounting and reconciliation breaks
  • Escalate problem items and follow up on outstanding inquiries through resolution
  • Monitor daily production volumes and ensure accounting deliverables meet quality and timeliness standards
  • Partner with internal departments to investigate and resolve accounting and valuation issues
  • Support daily production and management reporting, including cash breaks, past-due items, and other accounting analysis
  • Communicate professionally and constructively to resolve issues and minimize operational risk
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities while meeting daily deadlines
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Interest or experience in fund accounting, investment accounting, or financial services operations
  • Understanding of NAV, reconciliations, derivatives, or investment products is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, escalate, and resolve issues
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across internal departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Flexibility to work U.
