Staff Accountant

Robert Half Staff Accountant Sterling, MA Apply Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Sterling, Massachusetts. In this role, you will handle key financial functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices.
• Oversee accounts receivable, including billing and collections.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist with corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Handle sales tax filings and related documentation.
• Support special financial projects and initiatives as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize accounting processes and systems. Requirements
• Proven experience in corporate tax, including preparation and filing.
• Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and reporting.
• Proficiency in handling corporate tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of journal entries and their impact on financial statements.
• Experience managing and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
