Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or manufacturing industries, with experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and month-end reconciliations. This role requires a self-starter with good initiative and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and familiar with AIA billing processes. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes efficiently Conduct collections activities to ensure timely payments from clients Perform month-end reconciliations accurately and promptly Maintain subcontractor records and handle subcontractor payments and documentation Assist with AIA billing procedures as needed, ensuring compliance with industry standards Support various day-to-day accounting tasks to ensure smooth financial operations Collaborate with team members to improve accounting workflows and processes Take initiative in identifying process improvements and resolving discrepancies Requirements Minimum of three years of experience in a staff accountant role, preferably coming from an active staff seat environment Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is essential Background in construction or manufacturing industries is highly preferred Knowledge of AIA billing procedures is advantageous Self-motivated with good initiative and problem-solving skills Excellent teamwork and communication abilities Ability to handle multiple responsibilities accurately within deadlines Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills #RJAF123
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
