Job Description

Accounting Project Manager Responsible for coordinating and managing the financial and accounting functions associated with construction projects. Coordinate project accounting activities, monitor project budgets, financial transactions, and job costs. Work closely with project management and operations teams to support project financial performance and contractual requirements. Utilize construction accounting and project management software to maintain financial records and generate reports. Travel to project sites within the City of Boston and the Greater Boston area may be required on an as-needed basis. All travel is limited to locations within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The position is primarily office-based, with occasional travel required to support project administration and customer relations. Travel may occur for in-person meetings. Travel is not performed on a fixed schedule and varies based on project needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Administration or Finance. Must have experience coordinating accounts payable and accounts receivable processes; preparing and managing client billing invoices and monitoring collections; preparing and analyzing project cash flow reports and financial forecasts; preparing financial and accounting documentation associated with contractual or legal requirements, including project financial records and billing documentation; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; and experience using construction accounting or project management software such as Procore, Smartsheet, Spectrum, or similar platforms.
