Years of Accounting Experience Full Cycle AP/AR & Cash, Bank, and Credit Card Reconciliation Experience Small Company Accounting Experience; Startup/Hospitality Experience a plus Cloud-Based ERP Experience Required; Sage Intacct Experience a plus Multi-Entity Accounting Experience preferred Responsibilities Assist with general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes by processing invoices, managing payments, and handling customer inquiries with professionalism. Perform data entry using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, UltiPro, and PeopleSoft to maintain up-to-date financial records. Conduct Excel data analysis and prepare detailed spreadsheets for financial reporting and audit purposes. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), governmental accounting standards, and internal policies. Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and supporting documentation preparation. Handle confidential information with integrity while providing excellent customer service to internal teams and external vendors. Requirements Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger management. Familiarity with financial software systems including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; experience with ADP or UltiPro is a plus. Knowledge of GAAP standards, along with experience in governmental or public accounting, is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with demonstrated skills in spreadsheets and data analysis. Strong numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account reconciliation tasks. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy under tight deadlines.
