Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead core accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and period-end close tasks.
- Prepare monthly financial results and management reports that provide leadership with a clear view of business performance.
- Monitor cash activity, oversee banking transactions, and track regular cash reporting across multiple operating locations.
- Contribute to budget planning, forecast updates, and variance reviews to support sound financial decision-making.
- Coordinate with external accounting partners on tax preparation, audit support, and year-end financial matters.
- Administer recurring payroll processes and help ensure accurate employee compensation in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Maintain personnel records, onboarding documentation, and compliance-related files while supporting routine HR administration.
- Work with operational leaders to strengthen inventory oversight, reduce loss exposure, and reinforce cash-handling and policy compliance.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows across finance, payroll, HR, and location-level operations while supporting vendor and cross-site coordination. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a retail, multi-unit, or similarly fast-paced operating environment.
- Strong command of month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account and bank reconciliations.
- Experience supporting payroll administration and employee-related recordkeeping responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of accounting controls, financial reporting practices, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency with accounting and payroll platforms such as QuickBooks, Paychex, or comparable systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or related Microsoft business applications is highly preferred..
- Strong organizational, communication, and independent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work closely with leadership and site teams.
